Atlas Asphalt will begin milling and repaving sections of Main Street in Batesville on Tuesday, temporarily closing portions of the roadway as work progresses.
According to Atlas Asphalt officials, the project will start at the intersection of East Main and 12th streets, near the Arkansas Revenue Department office and The Bank of Cave City. Crews will close a two-block span of Main Street each day while repaving is underway.
The work is expected to continue throughout the week and may extend into early next week. The project will conclude at the intersection of East Main and 5th streets near the Batesville Municipal Building.
Motorists are advised to use alternate routes and anticipate delays in the area.
The yellow line represents the section of Main Street that will milled and repaved.
