The Independence County Sheriff’s Office has introduced a custom smartphone application aimed at enhancing communication and accessibility for residents and visitors, Sheriff Shawn Stephens announced.
Developed by TheSheriffApp.com, a division of OCV, LLC, the app provides quick access to public safety information and sheriff’s office resources. Users can navigate features including:
- Sheriff’s welcome message
- Jail information
- Employment opportunities
- Sex offender registry
- Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests
- Most-wanted list
- Tip submission tool
- Staff directory
- Additional public safety resources
“Over 80 percent of people in the United States own and use smartphones as their primary means of communication,” OCV Partner and CRO Kevin Cummings said. “Mobile apps offer agencies a better way to alert, inform and prepare the public. Apps allow public safety agencies the ability to reach and serve their citizens where they are: their smartphones.”
The app is now available to download for free in the App Store and Google Play by searching “Independence County Sheriff, AR” or by clicking here.
