
Sherry May Vannattan, 55, of Batesville, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at home, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on December 25, 1969, in Blytheville, Arkansas, Sherry brought joy to those around her through life’s simple moments—playing Rook and Yahtzee with her family, cooking, and sharing her wonderful sense of humor with those she loved.
A dedicated and hardworking woman, Sherry took immense pride in her career as a Plant Foreman at Actronics, a role she truly loved. To her, work was more than a job—it was a passion, and she valued the deep friendships she built along the way.
Above all, Sherry’s greatest love was for her family, friends, and her faith. Her unwavering belief in God was the foundation of her life, and she found great comfort and community at Believers Church. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Sherry’s legacy of love, faith, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Michael “Speedy” Gonzales; her grandmothers, Lee Etta Deaton, Alyne Coslet, and Audrey Gonzales; her grandfather, Louis Gonzales.
Left to cherish Sherry’s memory, are her mother, Betty “Rea” Gonzales; her son, Justin Michael Vannattan; her daughter, Madison Jane Vannattan (Nicole); her sisters, Marietta Candler (Sanford), Debi Aulton (Zack) and Michele Daugherty; and her grandson, Jace Davis.
