Ellen Light, 67, of Batesville passed away on March 15, 2025, at Batesville. She was born February 26, 1958, at Blytheville to Earl and Wanda (Pinkerton) Helfin. She retired as a certified respiratory therapist and registered sleep tech at White River Medical Center after serving 30 years. She enjoyed family, grandchildren, crafts, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jurell Heflin and Jimmy Heflin; two sisters, Peggy Heflin and Norma Mobley.
Survivors include one daughter, Heather Thompson (Artie) of Newark; one sister, Jane Johnson of Batesville; two grandchildren, Harper Thompson and Kanyon Thompson, several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 21, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Steve Gunther officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Cushman.

Visitation will begin Thursday, March 20, 2025, from 5-7 P.M at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Heflin, Dillon Carpenter, Brandon Penn, Sander Whitfield, John Johnson, and Michael Mobley.
