Primary power lines in the Claxton Loop area have been restored following recent severe storms, Independence County Judge Kevin Jeffery said Thursday.
Meanwhile, cleanup efforts continue as the Independence County Road Department diligently works to clear natural debris from roads and right-of-ways. The dusk-to-dawn curfew remains in effect for areas impacted by the storms.
U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford (pictured above, far right, with Jeffery, far left) stopped in the county Thursday to thank the Arkansas National Guard for assisting with curfew enforcement and storm recovery efforts.
Officials urge residents to remain cautious while recovery operations are ongoing.
