First Community Bank has announced the addition of Jeremy Colton (pictured) to its legal department as vice president and collection officer. In this role, Colton will oversee the collection of impaired assets across the bank’s operational areas.
A Batesville native, Colton brings more than 14 years of experience in financial and collection services. His career began at First Community Bank while he was in college before he spent over a decade at a regional collection agency, where he most recently served as vice president of operations. Colton holds a bachelor’s degree in finance with an emphasis on banking and an MBA from Arkansas State University. He is also certified as an ACA International Professional Collection Specialist.
Colton expressed enthusiasm about rejoining First Community Bank. “It truly feels like I’m coming home. First Community Bank is more than just a workplace—it’s an organization that invests in its employees and the communities it serves. I’m honored to be part of a team that values both professional excellence and community involvement,” he said.
Laura Brissey, executive vice president and general counsel for First Community Bank, welcomed Colton back to the team. “Jeremy’s industry experience, strong leadership skills, and connection to the communities we serve make him a valuable asset to our organization. We are excited to welcome him back to First Community Bank and look forward to the positive impact he will make,” she stated.
Colton and his wife, Kendra, a physical therapist at STARS, have been married since 2012. They have three daughters: Merritt, 4, and twins Mason and Murphy, 1. In his free time, Colton enjoys following Razorback sports, participating in fantasy football, working in his yard, traveling, and spending time with his family.
