
Two local real estate firms will accept financial aid applications Thursday and Friday, March 27-28, for area residents affected by the March 2025 tornadoes.
According to the Arkansas Realtors Association (ARA), applicants could receive up to $1,000 toward housing-related expenses through Hearts & Homes of Arkansas Inc.
Hearts & Homes of Arkansas is a nonprofit, ARA-affiliated organization that helps Arkansans with housing needs after disasters. The ARA said last week that the Realtors Relief Foundation is providing a grant for the assistance.
Applications will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mossy Oak Properties — Selling Arkansas, located at 8111 N. St. Louis St. in Cave City, for residents of Cave City and the Cushman area. Newport and Diaz-area residents can apply at Bratcher Real Estate, 731 Malcolm Ave. in Newport.
Applicants must provide the following:
For homeowners:
- Mortgage statement
- Photo ID
- Proof of insurance
- Photos of damage
- Utility bill
For renters:
- Original lease agreement
- New lease agreement or temporary housing bills
- Photo ID
- Photos of damage
- Utility bill
The ARA is also accepting applications for the Paragould area at Weichert, REALTORS Home Source, 105 Reynolds Rd., in Paragould, during the same period.
All applications must be complete at the time of submission. Incomplete applications will not be approved.
