Betty Lou (Smith) Koch passed away on March 26, 2025, surrounded by family at the age of 89. Betty was born in Omaha, NE, on October 2, 1935, to Wyland and Augusta Smith. Granny Koch was a kind, generous, compassionate mother and grandmother who touched the lives of many. Not only her immediate family but many friends and neighbors as well. Granny was passionate about sewing and loved working in her yard. She loved growing flowers, feeding the birds, but was the happiest when her house was filled with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Granny always had homemade bread and potato soup for the kids. She loved talking to her sisters on the phone each night for hours. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Koch; sisters, Loretta Darby, Hattie Selk, and Jeanie Gameril; brothers, Ed Smith, Elmer Smith, Art Smith, and Tom Smith; and grandchildren, Becky Krause, Jeff Koch, and James Koch.

Betty is survived by her children, David Koch (Sharon), Steve Koch (Retina), Peggy Krause (Curt), Tim Koch (Sonja); and many grand and great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be Monday, March 31, 2025, 3:00 P.M. at Patterson Cemetery in Bradleyville, MO with Bro. Mickey Wilkey officiating.

Arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service.

Visitation will begin Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 5-7 P.M. at the Qualls Batesville Chapel.
