Paul Lyndell Robinson, 88, of Bradford, passed from this life on March 30, 2025. He was born in Bradford on March 23, 1937, to Paul Julian and Mary Mabel (Sturch) Robinson.
Pete was a devoted member of the Possum Grape Church of Christ, where he found great comfort and strength in his faith. He was a hardworking farmer and mechanic, dedicating his life to providing for his family and serving his community. He took great pride in his work, including being a dozer operator and helping build the road from Bradford to Newport, which would serve generations to come.
He had a passion for the outdoors, enjoying riding four-wheelers, driving tractors, and spending time with his grandchildren, who knew him as “Poppa”. His love for nature extended to beekeeping, deer watching and vegetable gardening, where he found peace and fulfillment in tending to the land. Pete also cherished studying his Bible, seeking wisdom and sharing his faith with those around him.
Pete was a beloved father, brother, and friend, known for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy of hard work, faith, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife of 65 years, Faye Robinson; his brothers, Harrison Lavon Robinson and Donald Ray Robinson; and his great granddaughter, Blakely Elizabeth Thomas.
He is survived by his son, David Robinson and his wife, Teresa of Newport; his daughters, Sissy Calhoun and husband Eugene of Newport and Holly Bunn of Searcy; his sisters, Carolyn Reed of Bradford, Francis Davis of Bradford and Cathy Smith and husband Lynn of Bradford; seven grandchildren, Cara Beth Foster of Bradford, Ashlynn Bunn of Bradford, Garrett Robinson and wife Katie of Kensett, Lauren Bunn and Fiancé Carter Miller of Searcy, Gabriel Bunn of Searcy, Jordan Thomas (Aaron) of Newport, Katlyn Foushee of Newport; four great grandchildren, Conner Wood of Bradford, Mira Foster of Bradford, Harper Thomas of Newport and Maggie May Miller of Searcy; and a lifetime of friends.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Wendell Wells, Conner Wood, Gabriel Bunn, Michael Smith, Richard Smith, Michael Smith Jr..
Service will be at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2025, at Possum Grape Church of Christ with Brother Craig Wilson and Brother Lynn Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery.
