Gary Yarbrough, 75, of Newport, departed this life on March 31, 2025. He was born in Newport on November 22, 1949, to Edgar Ersel and Doris Laverne (Shelton) Yarbrough.
Gary was a skilled mechanic who loved working with his hands and had a natural talent for fixing things. Whether under the hood of a car or solving a mechanical challenge, he took great pride in his work. Outside of his profession, he had a deep passion for golfing and motorcycles, enjoying the freedom of the open road and the thrill of the game.
Above all, Gary was a devoted father, brother, and friend. He valued time spent with his loved ones and was known for his kind heart and friendly nature. His presence brought warmth to those around him, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Gary is survived by his sons, Johnathan Yarbrough and Daniel Yarbrough; his daughters, Bernadette Yarbrough, Kaitlyn Yarbrough, and Ally Yarbrough; his brother, James Yarbrough; his sister, Diann Higgins; as well as several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends who will forever cherish his memory.
