Mary Elizabeth Nelson, 78, of Quitman, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on April 1, 2025. Mary was born on January 30, 1947, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas, to the late Julius and Mary (Kirby) Robison. Mary loved the Lord and was a member of Timbo Valley Assembly of God Church in Timbo, Arkansas. Mary enjoyed reading, puzzles and taking care of her cats; she will be greatly missed by all of her loving family and friends.
Mary is survived by her two children, son, William E. Nelson, Jr. of Timbo, Arkansas and her daughter Katharine Michelle Blake and husband Charles of Quitman, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Matthew A. Nelson, Adam C. Nelson, Hannah Michelle Johnson and Devan Conrad Blake; six great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Mary (Kirby) Robison, and her husband, William E. Nelson, Sr.
A service was held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Pordue Cemetery in Onia, Arkansas, with Brother David Campbell officiating.
Mary was laid to rest next to her beloved husband, William E. Nelson, Sr.
Roller Crouch Funeral Home in Mountain View, Arkansas, is in charge of the arrangements.
