Lillian Marie Shannon, 44, of Newport, went to paradise on April 2, 2025. She was born in Newport on February 20, 1981, to Robert Charles Shannon and Glenda Ruth (Pretty) Moody.
Lillian was a warm and kind-hearted person who loved being around people. She found joy in singing, attending Tuckerman Church of Christ, visiting and loving everyone she met. She treasured family gatherings, especially spending holidays at Aunt Sandy’s and taking road trips with loved ones.
She delighted in life’s simple pleasures, enjoying going out to eat, solving puzzles, coloring, and stringing beads. Lillian also loved watching her favorite game shows, including The Price Is Right and Deal or No Deal.
Her presence brought happiness to those around her, and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Lillian’s laughter, love, and unwavering faith will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her mother, Glenda Moody (Jim) of Newport; her father, Robert Shannon of Pikeville, Kentucky; her brother, J.R. Moody (Kristie) of Tuckerman; her sisters, Laura Michelle Francis (Jeff Perryman) of Tuckerman, Rubi Jo Jungers (Adam) of Tuckerman, and Michelle McElroy (Charlie) of Franklin, Tennessee; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; nieces and nephews, Edyn (Ryan), Landon (Raelynn), Ellasyn, Lucky, Addison, and Madison, Patrick (Kiara) and Matthew (Riely): many great nieces and nephews, church friends and ACI friends.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2025, at Tuckerman Church of Christ. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
