
Here is an updated list of area road conditions as of 1:15 p.m. on April 5:
Batesville officials are asking motorists to avoid Stadium Drive, Southerland Drive, and a portion of Lawrence Street. Do not go around the ROAD CLOSED signs.
According to ARDOT, State Highway 37 at Cord is now closed.
According to the Independence County Sheriff’s Office, the following roads are closed at this time due to high water:
County Roads:
- Jamestown Road in the bottoms.
- Miller Creek Road by the rodeo arena, North Vaughn at Sulphur Rock, Mill Dam off Highway 106 — all are impassible due to high water. (Repairs to North Vaughn will be needed once the water goes down at the low-water bridge.)
- McHue Road has barricades in the straight stretch due to water.
In Sharp County, portions of State Highways 175 and 342 as well as Highway 63 near Cherokee Village and Hardy are impassable.
In Lawrence County, a 1.27-mile portion of State Highway 115 is also closed.
