Stephanie (Crabb) Ethridge of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the age of 54. She was born in Newport, Arkansas, and grew up in Tuckerman.

A 1988 graduate of Tuckerman High School, Stephanie married her high school sweetheart, Clint Ethridge, during a tornado on May 15, 1990. What began with an eventful wedding led into a marriage that lasted nearly 35 years, weathering both many literal and metaphorical storms.

Stephanie was known for her sense of humor and her laugh, which could lighten up everyone’s spirits in a room. She was brutally honest yet genuinely kind, all at the same time. She was a loyal and loving friend.

Stephanie cherished her role as a mother to her sons, Cole and Nate, as well as her cousin, Matthew. Her greatest joy came from the everyday moments of motherhood. She embraced the earth mother role for her cousins, nieces, nephews, and any child she met along the way, becoming everyone’s “Nana.”

Stephanie was preceded in death by her mother, Phyllis Bennett.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Clint Ethridge of the home; her sons, Cole Ethridge of Tuckerman, Nate Ethridge of Tuckerman, and Matt Bennett and wife, Chloe of Newport; her father, Stanley Crabb of Tuckerman; one brother, Scott Crabb of Newport; four sisters, Erica Nagel and husband, Eddie of Tuckerman, Melody Havener of Beaver Dam, Kentucky, Bandy Williams of Morehouse, Missouri, and Whittney Shoots of Kentucky; special cousin, Tara Layton Gates and husband, John, and their children, Arlo and Asher; nieces and nephews, Keeley Trotter and husband, Peyton, Kye Billings, Mark Nagel, Luke Ethridge and girlfriend, Katherine Hobbs, Lauren Ethridge, and Charlie Ledesma; her great-nephew, Locklyn Trotter; her mother-in-law, Rosemary Ethridge of Tuckerman; many other nieces, nephews, in-laws, family members and a lifetime of friends.

Memorial visitation is Friday, April 11, 2025, at Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
