Cathy Diane Childress, 75, of Newport, passed from this life on April 9, 2025. She was born on July 11, 1949, in Caraway, Arkansas, to Charlie Esko and Ruth Freda (Hayes) Clark.
Cathy was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose quiet strength and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in the simple comforts of life—relaxing at home, sipping her coffee, and watching her favorite television show, Bibi. Her peaceful presence and loving heart brought comfort to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jeremy Floyd; her brother, Jerry Clark; her sister, Debra Clark; and her best friend, Tillie Tims.
She is survived by her brother, Ricky Clark and wife Marilyn of Locust Grove; her sisters, Patricia England of Southside and Brenda Bowers (Jeff Lambert) of Cave City; her granddaughter, Faithe Floyd (Jessie Bunn); great grandchildren, Brooklyn Bunn, Parker Bunn, and Bunn baby number three on the way; and special friends, Gayle Holt, and Jeff Lambert.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
