Authorities are investigating after two people were found dead inside a residence on Old Camp Road, the Independence County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
Deputies responded to a welfare check at the home on Tuesday and discovered the bodies inside, according to a statement from the sheriff’s office.
The remains have been sent to the state crime lab for identification and to determine the cause of death.
The sheriff’s office said no further information will be released at this time, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
