The Red Hot Committee has donated $23,000 to support the expansion of the White River Health Oncology & Infusion Center, officials announced Monday.
The donation includes $20,000 raised through the Red Hot Ladies Luncheon, an annual fundraising event that has contributed a total of $200,000 to local causes over its 19-year history. An additional $3,000 was given in memory of James Canard, late husband of Citizens Bank’s Stefanie Canard.
Hospital officials said the funds will enhance the Oncology Center’s capacity to deliver care through improved staff support, equipment, and technology. It will also create a healing space for patients and their families.
“As cancer impacts more families in our community, these donations help us meet growing needs and offer compassionate care in an environment of hope and healing,” the center said in a statement.
