Linda Raye (King) Kinder of Swifton, Arkansas, departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at the age of 76. She was born July 5, 1946, in Newport, the daughter of Ray Monroe and Erma Lee (Hulen) King.
Mrs. Kinder was a 1964 graduate of Swifton High School and worked as a kitchen supervisor for the family business, Rusty’s Quick Shop. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and watching General Hospital
Mrs. Kinder was an excellent cook, who passed her time working in her flower beds. The greatest joy of this humble, loving woman was taking care of her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Kinder was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Joe Kinder; two brothers, Troy Lee King and Gary King; two sisters, Martha Sue Holman and Anna Shelton; and her parents.
She is survived by three sons, Tim Shelton and wife, Tammy of Newport, Rusty Kinder of Swifton, and Maston Kinder and wife, Serena of Swifton; one brother, Monroe King and wife, Patty of Swifton; one sister, Phyllis Campbell and husband, Mike of Swifton; five grandchildren, Cassie McFadden, Bryce Shelton, Jordan Malone, Natalie Kinder, and Connor Kinder; seven great-grandchildren, Jaxon Shelton, Rylin Shelton, Brailey McFadden, Carson McFadden, J.R. Malone, Ryder McFadden, and Nora Rae McFadden; one uncle, J.W. Hulen of Swifton; many nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Graveside services are Friday, February 17, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Swifton Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Tim Shelton, Rusty Kinder, Maston Kinder, Bryce Shelton, Steven McFadden, Tray Malone, Jaxon Shelton. Honorary pallbearers are Joyce Floyd, Swifton High School Class of 1964, and Rusty’s Employees.
