An Izard County Sheriff’s Deputy has died, according to a release.
According to Sheriff Charley Melton’s department, Deputy Sean Hunt was killed Thursday in an off-duty vehicle accident.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share the tragic news of the passing of Deputy Sean Hunt as a result of an off-duty vehicle accident on February 16, 2023,” the release said.
Deputy Hunt went to work as a deputy for Izard County in August 2021. The release said Hunt was a loving father, fiancé, son, friend, deputy, and co-worker.
