The strength and conditioning coach for the Batesville Pioneers has been named Regional Coach of the Year by the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA).
Price Holmes, who was awarded the State Coach of the Year honor by the NHSSCA last year, received the regional honor in February 2023.
“I’m super honored to receive this award from the NHSSCA,” Holmes said in a release from the Batesville School District. “There are some really good strength and conditioning coaches in our region, and I don’t know if I’m deserving, but I’m definitely honored. I appreciate the coaches at Batesville that allow me the opportunity to work with their kids. One of my biggest passions is strength and conditioning. A goal of mine is to positively impact the kids I have the opportunity to work with. My hope is that they learn discipline and dedication, all while trying to help them become better and more confident in their sport.”
The National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA) was created to allow high school coaches to grow as true professionals. Its mission is to educate, equip, and empower coaches to make a positive impact in the lives of student-athletes.
