The Lee family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our kind, caring, and hilariously entertaining gentle giant, son, brother, and uncle, Keagan John-Paul Lee. Born March 21, 1997, to Tommy and Karen Lee in Ruston, Louisiana, and passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023.
Keagan was the light of our lives, our youngest sibling, and our baby. He was always happy, playing pranks, and cracking jokes. He looked for ways to spread kindness to others, never passing judgment, and always looking for opportunities to help the sad, meek, and lonely.
Keagan was his parents’ joy and companion in all the work they accomplished as church planters in Spokane, WA and missionaries in South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire England, UK. Wherever they traveled Keagan was by their side fitting in, making friends and loving on people whether they be 8 or 80 years old.
After moving to Stone County in 2009 he graduated from Mountain View High School in 2015 and went on to study nursing and graduated from Ozarka College in 2017. From a small child, he wanted to care for people, telling his mother at the young age of 7 that he was going to be a doctor and fix her bones when she was old.
Keagan worked at The Blossoms of Mountain View Rehab and Nursing Center where he was a dedicated friend and co-worker. His compassionate spirit loved helping people and especially the elderly in his care. Nobody would be alone on Keagan’s watch, and he made extra effort to be that person for those around him. At one point he was learning “good morning, good evening, how are you” in Vietnamese to be able to communicate with one of his patients who did not know English.
Keagan was creative and brilliant at everything he tried. He enjoyed gaming, hiking, photography, drumming, art design, playing around on the piano, and experiencing new places to eat good food.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Carl and Bertha Lee, and several uncles and cousins.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Tommy and Karen Lee, brother Cody Lee (Sara Jane), sisters Kayla McIntire (Jesse), Becky Phillip (Terry), niece Dakota Lee and nephews Bridger McIntire and Hayden Thomas Lee; grandparents William and Patricia Crisman, adopted-grandmother Paula Bales, and many well-loved extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2 pm, at First Baptist Church Mountain View, Arkansas.
