Authorities report the search is still on for a Poinsett County man who went missing on the White River near Rosie over the weekend.
Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens told White River Now’s Gary Bridgman on Thursday that crews are still searching for the 62-year-old man who witnesses say was swept into the river while trying to cross a low-water bridge on a side-by-side Saturday afternoon.
Crews from the Office of Emergency Management, the Southside and Northside Volunteer Fire Departments, and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, along with Stephens’ department, have been involved in the search. Air and underwater drones have also been utilized.
