Obituary: Marie Kerr Ford

Marie Kerr Ford was born April 7, 1929, and passed away April 2, 2023, in Batesville, Arkansas.

Marie was a kind, gentle, and easygoing person who never had anything bad to say about anybody. She enjoyed talking to friends and family, especially her grandkids. She retired from LaCroix Optical and was involved in her church group ”The Circle” at Central Avenue United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Dennis Ford (Nola) of Maumelle, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Jeffery Ford (Sarah) of Maumelle, Arkansas and Juliana Flowers (Matt) of Maumelle, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, one nephew, Tommy Kerr of Batesville, and one niece, Melanie Kerr of Bentonville, and sister-in-law, Wanda Davis of Batesville.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ford; one son, Ronald Ford; her parents, Bartus and Florence (Phillips) Kerr, and one brother, Phillip ”Bud” Kerr (Maxine).

She was a lifelong member of Central Avenue United Methodist Church. For the last three and a half years, she was cared for by the wonderful staff of Woodcrest Assisted Living. She enjoyed her Circle meetings at her church.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Oaklawn Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

In place of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Avenue United Methodist Church, 1205 N Central Ave, Batesville, AR 72501.
