David Walls, 61, of Newport departed this life on Friday, April 7, 2023. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on December 30, 1961, to James Eugene and Barbara (Williams) Walls.
David attended Faith Assembly Church. He was an avid race car enthusiast who spent much of his life at the drag strip racing cars. He enjoyed watching wrestling and even got involved as a wrestler himself. He was known as “Demon X” when he was in the ring. He liked traveling, camping, and just enjoying time with his family whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Eugene Walls and his sisters, Kay Bohannon and Jennifer Walls.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Lane of Newport; his wife, Rhonda Walls of the home, his son, Tyler Walls (Ashley) of Brookland; his daughter, Paige Creighton (Will) of Newport; his brother, Gerry Jordan of Newport, his sisters, Elaine Henley (Carl) of Seagoville, Texas, Natalie Williams of Newport, Vanessa Hall of Newport and Sandra Walls of Little Rock; three grandsons, Carson Walls, Grady Walls and Levi Creighton; a granddaughter, Stiles Walls, two nieces, nine nephews and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Honorary pallbearers are Tyler Walls, Will Creighton, Jordan Watson, Gerry Jordan, Otto Ruesewald, Gus Graham, Johnny Johns, Bill Hodge, Steve Looney and Bennie Malone
Service will be at 2:00 on Friday, April 14, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Brandon Gates officiating. The interment will be at Gracelawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time.
