Authorities say an Izard County man is facing multiple felony counts related to images and videos containing child sexual abuse.
Terry L. Johnson Jr., 40, of Horseshoe Bend, was booked into the Izard County Detention Facility Thursday afternoon on 55 counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.
According to circuit court documents, an investigation began last year after a cell phone number belonging to Johnson was flagged multiple times by his service carrier for violating their terms by allegedly uploading images containing child sexual abuse material. Those violations were reported to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, which then forwarded the cyber tips to local law enforcement.
Terry L. Johnson’s bond has been set at $200,000.
