The Turtleman is coming to Horseshoe Bend Saturday to appear at the Dogwood Days Festival as it celebrates its 60th Diamond Jubilee.
The Turtleman, also known as Ernie Jones Jr. of Animal Planet’s “Call of the Wildman,” will appear at 10 a.m. at the Horseshoe Bend Gazebo to kick off the day’s entertainment and music. Terrapin races will be held at 12:30 p.m., next to the gazebo, and a pet parade will begin at 1 p.m.
Performances by Isabella Love, the ICC Choir, Doxology, Erin Walters, and line dancers will be held at the gazebo throughout the day. At 5 p.m., the Music in the Mountains Theater will open with a concert featuring Osage Water, and at 6 p.m., The Duncans will perform.
Horse rides and kid’s games will also be part of the fun.
