Lyon College students, faculty, and staff will head to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance Center (DAC) at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center in Little Rock tomorrow at 1 p.m. to pack much-needed kits and supplies for those recently affected by the tornadoes in Arkansas.
The DAC is one of two centers in the country that packs and ships kits to communities in need after disaster strikes. As clean-up efforts continue in Little Rock and Wynne, tornado victims are in need of two kits: hygiene kits and cleanup buckets.
Those who would like to support the relief effort may donate supplies to help restock the DAC shelves. Supply donations can be dropped off with Chaplain Maggie Alsup in Student Life on the first floor of Edwards Commons on the Lyon College campus, 2300 Highland Rd., in Batesville, through today.
Those interested in providing a monetary donation can contact Chaplain Alsup at Margaret.Alsup@lyon.edu.
