A Searcy man was killed and his 12-year-old passenger injured after a motorcycle crash in White County Sunday night.
According to Arkansas State Police, Casey A. Guthrie, 30, of Searcy, died after his 2002 Suzuki motorcycle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert, and overturned on Panther Creek Road, east of State Highway 16, around 8 p.m. on May 7.
Guthrie and the passenger were both thrown from the vehicle. The passenger was taken to Arkansas Childrens Hospital for their injuries.
The road was dry, and conditions were clear at the time of the accident, according to state police.
