Lois Marie (Wilson) Carroll, 82, born March 1, 1926, in Alabama, peacefully entered heaven on May 13, 2023, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was a woman that always lived life big. She never felt old~ even at 97 and still made plans like she had all the time in the world. Lois was a mother, sister, daughter, friend, a mentor and was able to enjoy her status as a great-great-grandmother. She was also a talented artist, poet, and writer of children’s stories, a quilter who made beautiful quilts that she often gave as gifts to family and friends, a gardener who loved her flowers and nurtured them to produce beautiful blooms and was a wonderful cook. Lois was fearless, independent, loving, and passionate about caring for family and friends. Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Stokes “Jack” Carroll a WWII Veteran, her parents: Noah Ceby and Sarah Arminty Hooper Wilson, her sisters: Eula Mae Wilson Hogland and Alton Wilson, her brothers: Charles Wilson and Floyd Wilson, her son, Barry Randall “Randy” Carroll, her daughter, Sandra Diane Carroll Lyons, her grandson, Aaron Randall Carroll, as well as many other families and loved ones- there was surely a great reunion in heaven when she joined them! She leaves behind her son, Danny Phillip Carroll of Raytown, Missouri, her daughter-in-law, Jeanie Carroll and grand-daughter, Tina Marie Price of Harrisburg, Arkansas, her grand-daughter, Ginny Williams of Memphis, Tennessee, her grandsons: Cameron Phillip Carroll of Kirkland Washington, Jared Masters Carroll of Frisco, Colorado, Jerry Lineberger, Lee Lineberger, and Robbie Lineberger, 12 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Lois was very patriotic and supportive of our military. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local chapter of the American Legion, Sons of American Legion Post 14 of Harrisburg, Arkansas or First Baptist Church 201 West Jackson Street Harrisburg, Arkansas. There will be a Graveside Service Wednesday ~ May 17, 2023, at 10:00 A. M. at Harrisburg Memorial Park. Bro. Matt Wilson will conduct the service.
