Jason David Anderson was born on October 28, 1973, in Batesville, AR, to Johnnie (Cossey) Anderson Baker and the late David Lee Anderson and died on May 17, 2023, in Sulphur Rock, AR. Jason was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was a caring person and was willing to do anything for anybody. He loved music, art, and animals, especially the fish in his saltwater aquarium. Jason also loved to cook. His passion for culinary arts served him well as an employee at Creative Dining Services at Lyon College. For Jason, his work there was much more than just a vocation. He truly loved his family at Lyon College, whether it be faculty, students, or his co-workers. Out of all of Jason’s hobbies and passions, nothing meant more to him than his family and friends. He left a lasting impression on everyone he ever met. Jason’s love and light will live on forever in the hearts of everyone that was blessed to know him. He will be dearly missed and forever loved.

Jason is preceded in death by his father, David Lee Anderson; his maternal grandparents, Robert Lee Cossey and Lavada Montean Cossey; his paternal grandparents, Billy John Anderson and Betty McCoy; and his cousin, Tara Lee Webb. He is survived by his mother, Johnnie Anderson Baker of Sulphur Rock, AR; his brothers, Jonathan Anderson of Newark, AR and Bill Baker of Sulphur Rock, AR; his sister, Susan Fredricks (Scott) of Batesville, AR; his two nieces, Allison Fredricks of Fayetteville, AR and Jaidyn Anderson of Newark, AR; his nephew, Zachary Fredricks of Fayetteville, AR; his Lyon College family, and many extended family and friends.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. Lyon College will host a visitation on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 1 PM at Brown Chapel on Lyon College campus (2300 Highland Rd.
