First Community Bank hosted the 26th Annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting the Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches on May 17 in Batesville at the Course at Eagle Mountain.

According to a release from First Community, this year’s tournament proceeds were $35,000. More than $415,747 has been raised for the ranch due to First Community Bank’s charity tournaments, the bank said.

“I am always amazed by the incredible support we receive from the community for this tournament,” said Matthew Cleveland, Arkansas Sheriffs’ Youth Ranches’ chief development officer. “This tournament has always been great thanks to the continued efforts from our friends at First Community Bank, and we look forward to this event every year.”

The tournament drew participation from 120 golfers who played and nearly 50 businesses that purchased hole sponsorships and made corporate donations.

· Gold sponsors:

Intimidator provided lunch for the players; Future Fuel Chemical Company sponsored the poker run; Batesville Poultry was the golf cart sponsor; and Bad Boy Mowers sponsored the putting contest.

· Silver sponsors:

George’s Liquor provided adult beverages, and Mechanical Construction Services (MCS) provided breakfast for the players.

· Bronze sponsors:

Stacy and Tony Gunderman provided snacks for the players, and White River Health System provided drinks.

“We appreciate the generosity of all those who made this tournament possible. Their contributions will make a real difference for many children in our community,” said Boris Dover, president and chief operating officer for First Community Bank. “A day spent golfing with friends is always a great way to support a worthy cause.”
