Rita Hall Allender, 72, of Batesville passed away on May 24, 2023.
She was born September 5, 1950, in Mount Pleasant to Roland and Hazel Collene (Haddock) Hall.
Rita’s family was her world and she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She worked as a cake decorator at Kroger for 24 years, winning numerous awards for cake decorating. She was a wonderful wife and mother who put others before herself. Rita enjoyed going to yard sales, working with the flowers in her yard, and loved to go night fishing.
Survivors include her husband, whom she married on May 31, 1968, Bobby Allender; her mother, Hazel Hall; two sons, Brady Allender (Julie Branscum) of Batesville, Blake Allender (Brandy) of Batesville; one brother, Cliff Hall (Maureen) of Bethesda; one sister, Debbie O’Neal; five grandchildren, Carson Allender, Jacob Branscum, Emma Allender, Hunter Fryman, Jordan Fryman; two great-grandchildren, Sophia Grace Fryman, Halen Fryman, as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Pallbearers are Shane Wood, Scott Wood, Tyler Wood, Brad Allender, Adam Lafera, Chris Lafera, and Carson Allender.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Oaklawn Cemetery with Bro. Curt Howard officiating.
