Billie Ruth Carlson, 75, of Southside, departed this life on Sunday, June 4, 2023. She was born in Ames, Iowa, on January 5, 1948, to Floyd “Tony” Martin and Pauline Maze Martin.
She and Mark Carlson were married on October 17, 1970, in Wichita, Kansas, and enjoyed over fifty-two years of marriage. She worked in Healthcare and loved being an LPN. After years of nursing, she worked at White Rogers Manufacturing as a machinist. She was a member of White Drive Baptist Church in Batesville.
Billie is survived by her husband, Mark, of the home: sons, James (Mandy) Carlson, Mark (Lisa) Carlson, Eric (Janine) Carlson; sisters, Patricia Heuback, Paula (Rob) Dickey, Margarette Childers, Jeanna (Jose) Quintero, and Toni (Robert) Holmes; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Paulette, and a son, Daniel.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, Southside, with Bro. Taylor Gillespie is officiating.
Burial will follow the service in Egner Cemetery in Southside.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 10, 2023, beginning at 9:00 a.m. and continuing until service time.
