Martha “Annie” Holt, 59, of Newport departed this life on Thursday, July 13, 2023. She was born in Parkin on September 13, 1963, to V.L. and Verna (Simmons) Summers.
Annie was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends. She was known for her quick, witty personality and the pranks she often played on unsuspecting friends and family members. She enjoyed playing Bingo and slot machines. She also enjoyed finding solitude on a river or a creek bank while fishing.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Buddy Summers and Bobby Gene Holt Jr.; her brothers, Charles Summers, Steven Summers and Virgil Summers and her sister, Patty Sherman.
She is survived by her sons, Billy Bob Holt (Heather) of Tuckerman, Cody Holt of Newport and Tony Summers; her daughters, Anna Simmons (Nate) of Batesville, Nicole Summers (James Ellis) of Newport, Courtny Summers of Newport and Tracy Murphy (John) of Newport; her brothers, Gary Summers (Kay) of Newport, Larry Summers (Pat) of New York, and Terry Summers (Dora) of Tuckerman; her sister, Debra Harris of Newport; her grandchildren, Demark, Nathaniel, Darren, Natelie, Dustin, Dakota, Payton, Kaylee, Eli, Ian, Jaxon, Temper, Jayton, Billy Bob Jr., Addison and Trinity; special friends, Aunt B, Kelley, Rickey, Grandpaw Curtis and Grandmaw Susie; along with lots of loved nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Billy Bob Holt, Cody Holt, Tony Summers, Dakota Stallnacker, Payton Stallnacker and John Murphy. Honorary Pallbearers are Demark Simmons, Darren Simmons, Nathaniel Simmons, Eli Murphy, Ian Murphy, Jaxon Murphy, Jayton Jones, Billy Bob Holt Jr., and James Ellis.
Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, July 17th from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at Dillinger Funeral Home Chapel.
