Claudene (Rudick) Green Collins, 91, of Batesville, died on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. She was born on January 13, 1932, in Rosie, Ark., to the late Earl Rudick and Glorine (Roberts) Rudick.

Claudene was of Christian faith and served the Lord Jesus Christ as a member at Believers’ Community Church in Batesville. Claudene’s faith was evident in the way she lived her life. She had a heart for helping others. She loved her job at the nursing home being a nurse’s aide. Claudene volunteered in a prison ministry, and she also enjoyed volunteering her time at the senior citizens’ center.

In her later years, she enjoyed going to the senior center to visit and play bean bag baseball. Some of her other hobbies include watching game shows and baseball. She loved cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. Out of all her hobbies and passions, nothing meant more to Claudene than her God-given role as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, grandmother (Claudene was a great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother), aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be dearly missed and forever loved by all of those who were blessed to know and love her.

Claudene was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husbands, Delmer Green, Paul Staggs, and Lynn Collins; her brother, Earl Gene Rudick; 5 other infant brothers and sisters; and her granddaughter, Tina Reed. She is survived by her son, Wesley Green (Janice) of Bethesda, Ark.; her daughters, Angela Vallero (Joe) of St. Louis, Mo., and Kathy Insell (David) of Pfieffer, Ark.; her brother, George Rudick (Lydia) of Cave City, Ark.; her 8 grandchildren, Bobby Green (June), Sheery Barnhart (Stan), David Green (Jennifer), Billy Green, Gary Green (Jennifer), Davy Insell (Misty), Kevin Insell (Ashley), and Joe Insell (Miranda); several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. Both the visitation and the funeral will be held at Believers’ Community Church in Batesville on Saturday, July 22, 2023. The visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Tucker Cemetery in Rosie at 10 a.m.

The following people are recognized as honorary pallbearers: Donald Wilkes, Wesley Green, D.J. Johnston, Duane Roark, and Melvin Hawkins.

From Mrs. Claudene Green Collins: “Celebrate my life for it has been a good one. I’m proud of my family and I enjoyed my job at the nursing home. Don’t be sad for I won’t be. Just live for God and be what He intended you all to be. To my kids, thanks for always being there for me. To my grandkids and great-grandkids, always remember ‘Grannie’ always loved you. God bless one and all.”
