A Batesville man died Thursday morning after a two-vehicle accident in Independence County.
According to the Arkansas State Police Fatality Report, Tim Lindsey, 67, was killed after the moped he was driving north on Highway 69, near Highway 106, was struck in the rear in the outside traffic lane by a Ford Expedition, also traveling north. The report said both vehicles came to a final rest facing north, in the center of the highway.
The report noted the weather was clear, and the road was dry at the time of the accident, which was listed as 8:50 a.m.
