Barbara Ann (Jenkins) Smith, 70 of Harrisburg, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, August 27, 2023, at her home in Harrisburg. She was born October 3, 1952, in Harrisburg, Arkansas, the daughter of Buster and Mildred Jenkins. Her parents preceded her in death. She was a graduate of Harrisburg High School the class of 1970. Barbara worked most of her life in factories and was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching old television movies, westerns and spending time with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents and a beautiful baby girl, Lisa Ann, and she was also preceded by several nieces and nephews. Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert Dale Smith, they have enjoyed 53 years of marriage, Also survived by two children: Susan Smith and Tommy (Sonja) Smith both of Harrisburg, Arkansas, siblings: Carolyn Phillips of Pickens, South Carolina, Joey (Patti) Jenkins of Clayton, Louisiana, Alvin (Wanda) Jenkins of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Rita (Terry) Beaty of Harrisburg, Arkansas, Terry (Diane) Jenkins of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Joannie (Elmer) Reese of Clayton, Louisiana, Steve Jenkins of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Barbara is survived by 6 grandchildren: Lucas and Brittany, Elsie and K3, Glenn and Sarah, Tianna and Kaleb, ‶Bubba″, Aliyah, 2 great grandchildren: Madlyn ‶Maddie Moo″ and Emielia ‶Elvyn″, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m. and the funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Holly Springs Cemetery. These people will serve as active pallbearers: Joey Jenkins, Alvin Jenkins, Terry Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, Carolyn Phillips, Rita Beaty, Joannie Reese, Tommy Smith, Susan Smith and Lucas Mabe. Arrangements are by Jackson’s Funeral Home in Harrisburg, Arkansas.
