A Batesville woman faces four drug-related charges after being arrested last week.

According to court information, authorities executed a narcotics search warrant on Sept. 29 at a Pine Street residence behind the Hollywood Bowl Bowling Alley and Arcade, an area considered a drug-free zone, and arrested Hanna L. Avalos-Perez, 33.

The arrest affidavit for Avalos-Perez said officers from the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force, the Independence County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas Community Correction, and the Batesville, Mountain View, and Newport police departments participated in executing the warrant.

According to the affidavit, a loaded handgun, four baggies of methamphetamine, digital scales, a smoking pipe, packaging materials, and over $4,100 in cash were allegedly discovered at the residence.

The affidavit said a small child was with Avalos-Perez when the search warrant was executed. Investigators contacted the Department of Child and Family Services to take custody of the child.

Hanna L. Avalos-Perez has been charged with four felonies: possession of meth with the purpose to deliver; simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; possession of firearms by certain persons; and maintaining a drug premises in a drug-free zone.
