Earl Dean Anderson, 79, of Pleasant Plains, departed this life on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.  Dean was born in McCrory, Arkansas to Oscar Anderson and Audrey Williams Anderson.   During his lifetime he enjoyed farming, truck driving, and mechanic work.

He loved to watch the westerns on TV, especially John Wayne movies.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and being around little children.

Dean is survived by his son, Barry (Pam) Anderson, of Pleasant Plains; his brother, Larry (Glenita) Anderson, of Southside; grandchildren, Jeremy and Billie Gay, Jacob, and Candance Anderson; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Bentlie, Lewis, Bailey, and Kactus; four nephews; six nieces; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, John Allen Anderson, and a brother, Jurl Anderson.

The Funeral Service for Dean will be Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service with Bro—Jerry Hagar and Brian Coats officiating.

Burial will be in the Fakes Chapel Cemetery in McCrory at 2:30 p.m.

Glen Gordon, Jared Richardson, Carl Boozer, Brian Coats, Joey Richardson, and Stephen Anderson will be pallbearers.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Morgan, Danny Watson, Walter Breckinridge, Michael Moffitt, Forrest Priest, Floyd Morrison, and Ellis Hays.

A Visitation Service will be on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Doty Southside Funeral Service, 2180 Batesville Blvd, Southside.

The family would like to thank Caring Hands Hospice and Woodlawn Heights in Batesville.
