Paul Wayne Jarvis Sr., 75, of Tyronza departed this life on Tuesday ~ October 24, 2023, at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born March 8, 1948, in Marked Tree, Arkansas the son of J. L. Jarvis and Ionia (Laster) Chapman Jarvis. His parents preceded him in death, also one brother, David Chapman, one sister, Pat Chapman, and two grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, playing pool, talking to people, riding tractors, and spending time with family and friends. Paul was retired from DO3 Factory and was a bricklayer. He is survived by two sons: Paul Jarvis Jr. and Jerry Wayne Jarvis both of Harrisburg, one daughter, Nickie Garrison also of Harrisburg, two brothers: Jim Chapman of Tyronza, Arkansas and Gerald Jarvis of Cordova, Tennessee, one sister, Diane Ivy of Jonesboro, Arkansas, 21 grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2023, at Jackson’s Funeral Home Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until service time which will begin at 11:00 in the chapel. Interment will be in Bolivar Cemetery with these men serving as active pallbearers: Trevor Jarvis, Lucas Jarvis, Joshua Jarvis, Matthew Jarvis, Justin Jarvis, and Jason Jarvis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Jack Crawford, Joey Armstrong, and Darryl Hendrix Timbs.
