Bob Dean Rodgers, 71, of Mountain View, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. Bob was born on June 12, 1952, in Mountain View, Arkansas to the late Otis Dean and Mary Ellen Blackwell Rodgers. Bob was a member of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Timbo, Arkansas where his son John Rodgers served as head pastor. Bob was a cattle farmer and coin collector who enjoyed fishing and dancing. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife, Gail Lynn (Berry) Rodgers; three sons, Tom Rodgers and wife Judy, Jim Rodgers and wife Janet, and John Rodgers and wife, Jana; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; along with two sisters, Letha Fletcher and husband Larry, Melba Swafford and husband Roger; and sister-in-law, Melisha Rodgers, along with many extended family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Otis Dean and Mary Ellen Blackwell Rodgers; one daughter, Jenifer Rodgers; one son, Justin Rodgers; granddaughter, Ashley Vickers; grandson, Colton Vickers, and one brother, Jerry Rodgers.
Visitation is Saturday, November 4, 2023, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View, Arkansas. Graveside services will follow the visitation at Elizabeth Cemetery with his son, John Rodgers officiating.
Pallbearers are Cody Rodgers, Coleman Rodgers, Jacob Rodgers, Justin Rodgers, Hayden Vickers, Logan Vickers, Jake Brewer and Jarett Vickers. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Fletcher, Shane Swafford, Phillip Swafford, Chuck Vickers, Jim Rodgers, John Rodgers, and Tom Rodgers.
