Fumiko Davis, age 92, of Batesville, Arkansas, died Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Batesville. She was born August 17, 1931 at Osaka, Japan to Shiyozaburou Hisaka and Towa Hisaka. She was retired from the shirt factory and a seamstress in Salem, Arkansas. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, travel (both international and domestic), dancing and attending Spring River BPW meetings. Fumiko was skilled in doing the tango, and playing bingo, and was a big volunteer at the Sr. Citizens Center and a network of community options. She enjoyed summer camps, adult day programs and Etta’s Attic Antique Store.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leland Davis; four brothers; one sister; and a son-in-law, Jerry Stobaugh.
Survivors include one daughter, Jennie Lee Stobaugh of Batesville; four brothers, Tommy Davis (Brenda) of Mountain Home, Timmy Davis, Travis Davis (Debbie) both of Batesville and Teddy Davis (Lynsey) of Summerville, South Carolina; twelve grandchildren, Michael Stobaugh, Tanya, Greg Davis, Jennifer, Matthew Davis, Meredith Terrell, Alex Davis, Olicia Davis, Evan Davis, Michael Stobaugh, David Stobaugh and Jeff Stobaugh.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in the spring.
