Batesville-based Citizens Bank sponsored the Citizens Bank Battle of the Bridge football game on Oct. 27.
Citizens Bank recently donated to each of the school’s booster clubs in honor of the game.
During the second annual Citizens Bank Battle of the Bridge, the Batesville Pioneers and the Southside Southerners faced off at Batesville High School’s Pioneer Stadium. The booster clubs for each school received a donation supporting student groups on and off the field.
“The Battle of the Bridge program is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Citizens Bank’s regional president Micah Beard. “It is exciting to see our community turn out to support the districts with such a giving and collective spirit.”
Each school hosted a ‘Scare Away Hunger’ food drive at the event’s gates, collaboratively raising money and canned goods for local backpack programs.
Next year’s Citizens Bank Battle of the Bridge will occur at Stewart Field in Southside.
