On November 12, 2023, Phyllis R. Robinson, aged 76, of Tuckerman, Arkansas, departed this life, leaving behind a legacy of adventure, joy, and devotion. Born to Cecil and Martha Jane Bell (Gifford) Pitts on July 9, 1947, Phyllis lived a life filled with a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love.
Phyllis was a true daredevil, never shying away from life’s thrills. She embraced her love for adventure by taking on activities like skydiving and ziplining, with her most recent skydiving escapade in August being a testament to her fearless spirit. Her zest for life inspired everyone who knew her.
Her enthusiasm extended beyond adventure; she also loved decorating for the holidays at her workplace, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital. She was the Director of Medical Records there for an impressive thirty-one years. She was also known for her elaborate decorating and planning for church events. Phyllis had a talent for bringing people together, and she made each occasion special with her creativity and attention to detail.
One of Phyllis’s greatest joys was watching her grandchildren play sports. She was their biggest fan, cheering them on from the sidelines with unwavering support and love. Her presence at their games was a source of comfort and pride.
Phyllis was not only an adventurous soul but also a devoted prayer warrior, offering strength and solace to those in need. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she shared it with all who sought her guidance.
In her quieter moments, Phyllis found solace in playing solitaire and enjoying her favorite TV show, NCIS. These simple pleasures were a reminder of her appreciation for life’s little moments.
Phyllis Robinson’s passing is a loss that will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves behind a legacy of fearlessness, creativity, and unwavering faith. Her memory will forever be cherished, and her love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary Robinson; her sisters, Lillie June Shipman, Mary Jo Weber, and a nephew, Paul Shipman
She is survived by her son, Shaun Robinson (Dedra) of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Joshua Cade Robinson, Ty Garrett Robinson, and Maylee Grace Robinson of Hot Springs; special nieces, Judie Lancaster, Brenda Voyles, Shela Goodman, Shaundra Nisbett and Jaqueta Payne; nephews, Freddy Shipman Jr., Michael Shipman, Luke Goodman, and Shae Flanery; many great nieces and nephews; and her work family, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Randolph Memorial Gardens in Pocahontas with Brother Brandon Gates officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Dillinger Funeral Home.
