Lensey Ford, agriculture teacher for Midland School District, is the recipient of November’s Citizens Bank “Shine Like a Mustang” Award.

According to a release from Citizens Bank, Ford “…has been a key facilitator in the relaunch of the school’s agriculture program. She’s helped students show livestock at the county, district and upcoming state fair, engaging students in interactive learning both inside and outside of the classroom.”

With this new program, Citizens Bank and Midland School District aim to recognize staff members “…who shine in their role as a Mustang to live out the district’s vision to engage learning at high levels and embrace challenges without fear of failure.”

Staff nominate the award recipients who receive a Certificate of Excellence, a $25 gift card, and a 16-ounce insulated cup from Citizens Bank. The award will be presented at the Midland School Board meeting each month.
