Betty Fran Weaver went to her Heavenly home surrounded by her family on Sunday, December 3, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1939, in Ash Flat, Arkansas to Henry Hue Williams and Susie Elmer Haley Williams. She attended school at the Ash Flat School then moved to Sidney, Arkansas in second grade and attended there except for a couple of years in Armona, California. She then went back to Sidney, Arkansas where she graduated in 1957 which was the last year Sidney had a school. She was saved and baptized at the Antioch Baptist Church in Zion, Arkansas and was a member there for several years. Then, she moved to Cave City and joined the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church. She married Billy Joe Weaver on March 14, 1958.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Joe Weaver; son-in-law, Randy Hodges; siblings, Remmell (Virginia) Williams, Leniel (Robbie) Williams, Ueta (Allison) Smith, Buryline (Nina and Glayds) Williams, Anna Lee (Bob) Thacker, Ernestine (Don) Slade, Tillam (Geneva) Williams, Bill (Tommie Lou) Williams, Neil (Peggy) Williams and infant sister, Sonda Joan.
She is survived by her children, Katherine Sue Hodges of Cave City, Arkansas, Tammy Jo Lawrence of Batesville, Arkansas and Ronald Dean Weaver (Debbie) of Batesville, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jeremy Porter (Joedi), Jimmy Hodges (Lindsey), Danell Hetrick (Edmund) and Blair Weaver all of Batesville, Arkansas and Jon Hodges (Samantha) of Cave City, Arkansas; six great-grandchildren, Bronwyn Kent (Colton), Cameron Hetrick, Collin Hetrick, Hayes Hodges, Sloane Hodges all of Batesville, Arkansas, David Hodges and Jonna Hodges of Cave City, Arkansas; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Maxville Missionary Baptist Church in Cave City with Phillip Lewallen and Boyce Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sidney, Arkansas.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Jimmy Hodges, Jon Hodges, Jeremy Porter, Edmund Hetrick and nephews, Paul Slade and Kelly Williams.
