With winter conditions postponing last night’s Southside Planning Commission meeting and tonight’s Southside City Council meeting, Mayor Ray Bowman has announced both meetings will be held next week.

The Planning Commission meeting will now be held on Monday, Jan. 22. Bowman said the commission will review questions and requests for changes from a December public hearing on zoning.

The City Council will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 23. The agenda includes approving the 2024 Budget.

Each meeting will begin at 6 p.m. each night at Southside City Hall, located at 2181 Batesville Blvd.

Mayor Bowman also noted that Arkansas Secretary of State Outreach Coordinator Tyler Dunegan is still scheduled to be at Southside City Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 17 — weather permitting.

Dunegan will be at City Hall from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to provide information on services provided by the Secretary of State’s Office and allow the community to register to vote.
