Clydella (Clyde) Diann Shreve, 74, of Cave City, AR passed away peacefully on January 17th with her beloved husband by her side in Cave City, AR after a sudden decline in her health after being diagnosed with cancer. Clydella was born July 29th, 1949 to William P Prier and Geneva C. Leslie Prier Brown at Allen’s Hospital in Batesville.
Clydella worked as a dedicated office manager for the Cave City Water Department for 38 years. Her hobbies included watching the birds in her yard, catching a Cardinal baseball game or a new episode of an HGTV program on TV, or playing with her grand-dog Titus. But her true passion was that of her role as mom and Mimi. A woman of incredible warmth and compassion, Clydella will be remembered as an amazing mother who dedicated her life to her family. Her kindness, generosity, and love touched the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She had the remarkable ability to turn the simplest things into something beautiful. Whether it was the artistry in her Christmas packages, the thoughtful nursing home bingo prizes, or the Halloween goodie bags for the local children, every endeavor bore the mark of her affectionate touch.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her step-father, Hershal Brown; her sister, Elwese Burress; her sister-in-law, Robbie Prier; and her bonus daughter, Shanda Shreve.
Survivors include her loving husband, Ebby Shreve; her son Billy Penn (Nikki) of Cave City; her bonus daughter, Jenny Shreve Davis (Mike) of Cave City; and her bonus son, Marty Shreve (Claudia) of Georgia; one brother, Charles Adean Prier of Georgia; and 4 grandchildren, Emilee and Parker Davis, and Joshua and Christopher Trujillo; and her grand-dog, Titus; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel with Laurie Dewitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, January 19thfrom 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Qualls Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Mike Davis, Marty Shreve, Brad Crabtree, Jim Smith, Alton Stewart, and Parker Davis.
