Obituary: Anthony Allen Mellor

Anthony Allen Mellor, 55, of Southside, AR, died on Tuesday, February 6, 2024. He was born on September 30, 1968, in Antioch, CA. He was of the Christian faith and attended high school at the Christian Center School in Pittsburgh, CA.  Anthony served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He believed in the value of hard work. He worked at the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Searcy for over 30 years and was very proud of the fact that he started at an entry-level position and diligently worked his way up to Safety and Compliance Manager. He loved his job and thought of a lot of his co-workers as family. Anthony loved music, especially records, he had an extensive vinyl collection. He was a Raiders fan, whether they were in L.A., Oakland, or Las Vegas, he remained an avid fan of the team. Anthony had a fascination with trains as well, his office was decorated with train pictures and models. But even with his passion for his job, his hobbies, and his interests, nothing meant more to Anthony than his family. He had a fierce love for his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Anthony will be dearly missed, and his memory will be forever cherished by all who were blessed to know and love him.

Anthony is preceded in death by his grandparents, Sal and Millie Siino; and his two uncles, Tim Siino and Vince Siino. He is survived by his loving wife, Patty Mellor; his mother, Catherine Romo (John); his 3 daughters, Alicia McAnally (Dustin), Skye Mellor, and Molly Mellor (Dan); his brother, Brian Andrews (Jenny); his two sisters, Deanna Bonwell and Christina Garcia (Davin); his grandchildren, Kate McAnally and Kassi McAnally; his uncle, Anthony Siino (CeCe); his aunt, Rosemary Siino; his father-in-law, Byron Neal (Tami); his two sisters-in-law, Sheila Reschke (Ron) and Kristi Lock (Ryan); his beloved dog, “Chewie”, and several extended family members and friends.

Services are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville, AR. There will be a visitation on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Willis Funeral Service Chapel in Batesville from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Anthony to the American Cancer Society
