James William Rogers, 62, of Newport departed this life on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. He was born July 15, 1961, to Calvin Clifton and Earlene (Marshal) Rogers.
James’s life was a testament to love and simplicity. His family was his anchor, and his heart overflowed with affection for them. Outdoors, he found peace, whether casting lines into the water, exploring nature, or riding scooters, embracing the freedom of the open air. As he embarks on his final journey, James leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and an appreciation for life’s simplest pleasures, forever cherished by those who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Virginia Allen; and his brother, Danny Lee Rogers.
He is survived by Dorothy Lowe of the home; Douglas Hudson of the home; his brother, Eddie Rogers of Fordyce; his sisters, Margie Cunningham of Landon, TX, Brenda Cantwell of Risen, and Sara Beth Craver of Corning; his cousin, Willie Stone and special friend, Karem Emanuel.
